Movie Research: Get Out

 What conventions did the movie have? : it had social commentary, Jump scares (common horror tropes) and character development

What conventions do you like? : I really like the uses of foreshadowing in dialogue used between the character and his friend while they were on the phone in the beginning of the movie. It was almost like a waning sign that something wasn't safe. Same as when the main character was driving his way to his destination and got pulled or by the police when he did nothing wrong but be African American

What conventions did the movie use that did not appeal to you? : i do believe the lack of back story had me confused and left a lot of plot holes. I feel if it were expressed better with some of the side characters it would help understand the movie a lot better
