Through the editing process, I've encountered some challenges, particularly as I incorporate more footage into my project. Sorting through a larger volume of footage requires meticulous organization and attention to detail, as each clip contributes to the narrative's coherence. Selecting the right shots to convey the desired emotion and message demands a keen eye and a deep understanding of storytelling principles. Additionally, the process of trimming, rearranging, and refining sequences to achieve seamless transitions can be daunting. Ensuring continuity between scenes while maintaining the pacing and rhythm of the film adds another layer of difficulty. Moreover, learning to navigate editing software efficiently has been a learning curve, . Despite the challenges, I like the creative freedom that editing offers, allowing me to mold raw footage into a cohesive and impactful narrative.  Before I started editing I had to rewatch some of the film Kylie helped me capture. I noticed some of the scenes(mostly the other ones we filmed outside) were a bit wonky and didn't flow right with the rest of the scenes. So I asked if savanna and Kylie if they would be down to help. Of course they said yes since they're the best but like previously, scheduling was the issue. Eventually we did agree on a date and repot the scenes I needed.

Kylie and Savanna came over to my apartment excitedly, ready to do my project. After a quick catch-up and some snacks, we got our equipment and headed to Publix to film our project. Inside the store, we carefully made sure we had minimum people in our shots through aisles, capturing Once we wrapped up at Publix, we went out to Las Olas, navigating the streets with our cameras in hand. It was night time, and our parents had us on a curfew. We filmed lots of tracking scenes, plus it was towards the last scene of our project. As we wound down, we returned to my apartment, tired from all the walking over the footage we had captured, eager to piece it together into a cohesive project

 Hey Blog, so this was supposed to be about my experience with filming for my project. but of course life gets in the way. With my job being understaffed and my other classes piling up with work. I've been delaying filming because I couldn't seem to find the right time. eventually I did end up agreeing on a date a hopefully it will work out.

 For my titles design, the font will be in Times new Roman. It’s a common font used in most rom coms The titles and credits will blend in with the background and move along with the chapter as we see where she’s going The title of my film will be named “MoonLight” And it will be on screen before the scene disappears but then fade away with a ripple of water

 -The location time will be down town las olas around the hours of 6:45 -there will be tracking shots of the character Lanivia(actor-Kylie McDonald) walking down there carrying an urn -the time to be on set will be 5:00 so we can set up the cameras and get the lighting in check -filming will most likely end around 8:00 - I will like to ensure we get all the scenes and Cams we need -I will need a wide shot angle -4 close ups -3 over the shoulder -to ensure safty we will have 911 on speed dial, and parent supervision  -

What images are displayed: Lots of blood for sure, human activity How does the film establish the feeling of the project: It gave a very vampy/vampire movie. Very mysterious, and Halloween classic vibes

It defiantly spooks you with anxiety and has you at the edge of the seat because of the music choice

 The website I decide was best for my research was "watchthetitles.com". The website was extremely diverse for the choice in genre i decided. Not only did i find it easier compared to the other titles. I just loved the movies that it recommended to watch. For the opening sequences of course. But over all it was just easy to maneuver around. Also it really sparked inspiration for my final task project.

  What conventions did the movie have? : A period piece back into the 2002, Difference of coloring to emphasize emotion, Suspenseful acting, Dramatic acting. Likeable characters What conventions do you like? : I loved that in the movie, even though every character was typically a "bad" person or had some sort of flaw. You couldn't hate them. Not even on a relatable sense, because they were filthy rich. But even the protagonist Oliver who has murdered off the beloved family that welcomed him, i still couldn't hate him either. The scripted acting and emotion each character portrayed all had a loveable sense.  What conventions did the movies not appeal to you? :the only conventions that did not appeal to me would be the confusion if Oliver had loved Felix or not. it left me many questions, and i feel explained more it would have the movie flow better. Unless if that was the intention, still to me i wasn't a fan of it

 What conventions did the movie have? : the movie had innovative sound, survival themes, constant suspense of threat and danger  What conventions do you like? : I loved the suspense it created in its creative choices of minimum talking. And most emotion was shown through expression of the actors  What conventions did the movies not appeal to you? : in my opinion i likes every aspect of this movie, there was not a thing i did not love about it.

 What conventions did the movie have? : it had social commentary, Jump scares (common horror tropes) and character development What conventions do you like? : I really like the uses of foreshadowing in dialogue used between the character and his friend while they were on the phone in the beginning of the movie. It was almost like a waning sign that something wasn't safe. Same as when the main character was driving his way to his destination and got pulled or by the police when he did nothing wrong but be African American What conventions did the movie use that did not appeal to you? : i do believe the lack of back story had me confused and left a lot of plot holes. I feel if it were expressed better with some of the side characters it would help understand the movie a lot better

 The Genre that I picked will be a a Thriller. I would love the opportunity to have fun with creating suspense. Especially with editing, or picking out a soundtrack. The pitch that i provided already gives that erry vibe, and hopefully I can deliver. Cant Wait!!\

 Hi im Tantou. Based on my previous group project with the difficulty in time managements and the feeling of me having to carry the group project, i decided to work alone. I feel like i have have more creative control. Im actually really excited for this project and im glad i can work on my own time and keep my own  budget small. It was hard to especially since i had to work around my work schedule plus i funded the whole previous project. So its great to know i have my own back on this one.
